Your guide will contact you 2–7 days before your tour and offer a little 5-minute chemistry call — totally optional if you'd rather skip it.

Tip reversal
No tips allowed — what a headache. Instead, at the end of the tour your guide tips you, depending on how much they enjoyed your company, as a thank-you for letting them show off their city.
A local secret
The tour ends with a recommendation for a secret local spot — your guide points the way so you can continue somewhere interesting on your own.
